Grimm in Silver Palace

A young journalist born into the lower levels of society, Grimm is an ambitious fellow with a mind just as sharp as his tongue. A chronicler of modern society, he never hesitates to risk danger when opportunity knocks, whether denouncing scandals or giving a voice to the sadly departed. He believes that the truth is all-powerful, and that it must be heard.

Grimm is ambition made flesh: quick-witted, sharp-tongued, and unafraid of the dangers his headlines invite. Direct confrontation is not his style: he fights his battles in print, where an undocumented truth is flimsy but a published one is a weapon.

Born into the lower levels of society, he climbed on wit rather than pedigree, and it shows: he treats every scandal as an opportunity and every silence as a story waiting to be broken.

Grimm is a young man with tousled blond hair and grey-blue eyes, usually wearing a knowing smile. He dresses like a field reporter of Silvernia’s golden age: a brown wide-brimmed hat, an oversized brown overcoat with checkered cuffs pinned all over with press notes, wax-sealed documents, and photographs, worn over a white shirt, black necktie, suspender shorts, and fur-trimmed boots. Between his gloved fingers he holds a fresh photograph, evidence, or tomorrow’s front page.

As a journalist with ties to S.T.A.T.S., the Surveillance, Tracking, And Troubleshooting Services the Detective also calls home, Grimm chronicles the city’s scandals and gives a voice to its dead.

His relationship with the truth may prove double-edged: beta-test material includes an investigation case titled “Case of Grimm’s Death”, in which the once-arrogant journalist is found dead in an alley, silenced forever, and it falls to the Detective to gather the evidence and reveal the truth.
