Born into the lower levels of society, he climbed on wit rather than pedigree, and it shows: he treats every scandal as an opportunity and every silence as a story waiting to be broken.

Grimm is a young man with tousled blond hair and grey-blue eyes, usually wearing a knowing smile. He dresses like a field reporter of Silvernia’s golden age: a brown wide-brimmed hat, an oversized brown overcoat with checkered cuffs pinned all over with press notes, wax-sealed documents, and photographs, worn over a white shirt, black necktie, suspender shorts, and fur-trimmed boots. Between his gloved fingers he holds a fresh photograph — evidence, or tomorrow’s front page.

As a journalist with ties to S.T.A.T.S. — the Surveillance, Tracking, And Troubleshooting Services the Detective also calls home — Grimm chronicles the city’s scandals and gives a voice to its dead.

His relationship with the truth may prove double-edged: beta-test material includes an investigation case titled “Case of Grimm’s Death”, in which the once-arrogant journalist is found dead in an alley, silenced forever — and it falls to the Detective to gather the evidence and reveal the truth.
