Introduction to Silver Palace: What Kind of Game Is It?
Last updated: 13 July 2026 · 3 min read

Silver Palace is a free-to-play action RPG by Elementa, announced on May 13, 2025 alongside a trailer, a ten-minute gameplay walkthrough and the opening of global pre-registration. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it casts you as a Detective in Silvernia, a Victorian industrial metropolis, and pairs real-time, character-switching combat with actual detective work. Here is everything confirmed about the game so far.
The Setting: Silvernia and the Golden Age of Detectives
Silvernia is an industrialized metropolis built on the power of Silverium, a revolutionary element that transformed technology and daily life and drew factions into open rivalry: corporate monopolies, underground syndicates, royal affiliates and cults all vie for control of it.
You play the Detective, one half of a famed investigative duo who left the city three years ago after an airship disaster tied to the assassination of the late Queen. The story opens in the third year of young Queen Feliana's reign: beneath the illusion of peace, a fragile justice system and opaque noble politics have laid the stage for those who seek the truth. The marketing calls it the golden age of detectives, and the returning Detective carries a personal case: finding the person who killed their sibling.
What Kind of Game Is Silver Palace?
Two loops share the screen time:
- Investigation. Cases drive the story. The Detective reads crime scenes, examines witnesses, unmasks disguised monsters with a scan, and reconstructs events through the Mind Palace ability, which rebuilds a scene mentally from collected evidence.
- Combat. Real-time action with three-character parties, a parry-centred rhythm of punish windows, stagger and executes, and an ambush system that banks up to three switch stacks. Characters divide into five Combat Styles, and team elements feed the Resonance system instead of classic elemental reactions.
Progression runs through a gacha: characters arrive via banners with an 80-pull pity and a 120-pull featured guarantee, detailed in our gacha system guide.
Platforms and Release Date
Silver Palace is coming to PC, Android and iOS. Pre-registration covers all three platforms; no release date has been announced yet. Beta tests so far have been PC-only.
Beta Tests So Far
- Monotype Beta Test: January 13 to 18, 2026, Windows PC only, with all data wiped afterwards and no in-game purchases.
- Dichotomy Beta Test: recruitment opened June 26, 2026 for the second round, again on PC, with Monotype participants automatically eligible.
How Popular Is It Already?
Pre-registration passed 1 million within a week of the announcement (May 19, 2025), 2 million four days later, and 4 million by January 2026, around the Monotype beta window. For an unreleased game from a new publisher brand, that puts anticipation in the same conversation as the genre's big launches.
How Does It Compare to Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves?
Silver Palace shares the free-to-play, character-banner structure of HoYoverse-style games, but differs in the places that matter:
- The detective fiction framing, urban Victorian setting and case-driven structure against their open-world fantasy adventures.
- A reported Arknights: Endfield-style gacha with a hard 120-pull featured guarantee instead of a classic 50/50.
- Resonance team effects instead of reaction-based elemental combos.
